# Doorfarer

> Doorfarer finds the best trip from a traveller's front door, not from an airport. It compares every airport within
> reach of their home town, adds the train, bus, drive or taxi to each, and ranks the whole trips by price, by travel
> time, or a balance of both. It runs inside AI assistants as a public MCP server: free, no account.

- MCP server (streamable HTTP, no authentication): https://doorfarer.com/mcp
- Tool: `find_trips`. Input: the home town (not an airport), destinations (airport, city or country codes, or a
  region with `anywhere`), a date window and trip length, travellers, priority (budget, time or balanced), and how
  they get to the airport (public, train, bus, car or any). Output: the cheapest, fastest and balanced trips door to
  door, the ground leg and its cost for each, how old each fare is, how the search was done, and a booking link for
  each flight.
- Prices are in the home's currency, per person, from recent Aviasales searches; the booking link opens a live search
  where the final price shows.
- Booking links are affiliate links: Doorfarer may earn a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you. Results are
  ranked by price and travel time, never by commission.
- Not for: hotels, multi-city trips, or a trip whose departure airport is already chosen.

Example: "I live in New Haven. Cheapest way to Lisbon in March, about a week, two of us?" Doorfarer checks Hartford,
White Plains, LaGuardia, JFK, Newark, Boston, Providence and Philadelphia, adds the train or drive to each, and may
find Boston cheapest even with the train.
